Hey i need some tips on reloading for this particular rifle for those who have good results. Im looking to typically shoot around 100-200 yards
What powder do YOU recommend, how many grains of powder, bullet size etc etc? I dont want to go by my books because they show reloading data for hunting loads. I reload dozens of cartridges but never for this particular rifle and i dont want to screw anything up. |

You guys need to try a port buffer. It greatly decreases the damage to the brass on a 91, 51, SAR-8, CETME.

Use the port buffer to save the brass...it works.
Best load for my PTR is 40gr of Benchmark pushing a milspec 147gr FMJBT in Lake CIty brass with CCI large rifle primers. Stock open sights at 100 yds was punching 1-3/4" groups...not bad especially since the target seems smaller than a fingernail at that distance with open sights. |

Yes i already know about the port buffer and i plan on getting one, but whats this i hear about it getting in the way of the MFI mount? From the looks of that picture above, it doesnt....
But as far as powder goes, i assume fast burning powder and lighter bullets (lets say 150s) are best right? |
