When my sear pack is installed in the housing it will not seat competely in the receiver. The housing is a few cm lower than the back pin hole. I can squeeze it all together very hard and almost put the stock on and install the pin but I know this is wrong to have to force it. I have installed the empty housing and it installs perfect. So the clipping and pinning is not the problem. What am I missing. F/a bolt carrier is installed, SEF housing, did I forget something?  I purchased my other sear gun complete and running so this is my first time with assembly.

A few centimeters...
  I hope you meant millimeters

Was the trigger pack originally in an MP5?

Couple of ?'s.
Have you tried to install the complete housing without the bolt carrier in the receiver? Try cocking open the action and then pull the carrier back another few centimeters - now see if the housing will go on.

I went through a similar problem with a plastic SEF housing on a Coharie gun. The housing will fit when empty but as soon as the trigger pack is placed inside the housing it would not install  correctly. Discovered that someone had installed a shim inside the front edge of the SEF housing using tiny Allen head socket screws!  Removed the machine screws and it fits.

yes I did mean millimeters and I am not sure if it was in an MP5 originally. For all I know it could have been. What would that mean?

I'm just curious if it has the correct ejector lever installed.

Is the ejector lever the long lever that comes forward and sticks out at the front of the housing? If so it does appear that it may be pushing up as it is installed.
And as an update I did squeeze everything together bucause I was fed up and angry so I just did it. When together I cannot cycle the bolt. It comes back almost all the way and then it stop short of the hejector port.

The ejector should look like, or similar (depending on generation), as the lever on top.

Ok it is the correct ejector.  One question also. I am gonna try to put my orignal semi auto pack into the clipped and pinned sef housing
just to check. How do I remove the ambi selector to remove the pack?

An ambi selector won't fit an SEF grip frame - two different animals.

But to answer the question;

If you look inside the pack there is a lever above the safety switch/axel

Release the hammer, push down on the lever and move the safety to
the vertical position (one click down below safe)

The selector will release - pull apart from the grip and the pack slides out.

Ok thanks, I am gonna slip the pack in the housing, Now I am assuming this will fit, correct me if I am wrong. I wont install the selector as it wont fit.
Then I will see if it will seat in the reciever properly. If it doesn't then obviosly it is something with the housing. If not I am lost. If all else fails who can I send
my gun and parts to?

It will fit.

Also check to see if your shelf has possibly been shimed.

Would the shims be on the inside of the housing between the housing and the pack?

Ok so here are my findings. Put my original semi pack into the SEF housing and same problem.
So hopefully that means the sear pack is good to go. What should I look for on the sef housing?

I had the same problem when putting a HK SEF clipped and pinned housing on my Cohaire clone. Found that the HK housing holds the trigger pack about 2mm higher than my Cohaire housing. So i took my dremel tool to the inside of the HK housing and hit the four stubs that hold up the trigger pack. I dropped the pack 2mm lower into the housing and now it fits perfect.

Exact same thing here. Did the same and it worked. Problem solved!  THanks!!!
