Is there supposed to be one of those rubber buffer pads inside a BW5 standard stock?
My collapseable stock has one but not the original that came with the gun. If so what one should I order and how does it stay in place?

MP5's and clones don't need a recoil buffer in the stock.  If your stock has one, it's from an HK 93/33.

Like stated above, the collapsible MP5 stock has the buffer, the fixed stock does not.  I've always wondered why this is, as I have no idea why.  If your fixed stock has the buffer, then it is from a 93/53/33 and will probably also have a concave buttplate as opposed to a flat buttplate on the MP5 stock.

I can only speak to real HK's here but the MP5 A2 stocks have no additional buffer because they're all plastic inside, unlike the A3's that are metal inside where the carrier would strike, thus the urethane 'H' buffer in the A3's.

The retractable stock has a buffer. The fixed one does not have anything but a little indentation where the buffer would be.

The fixed stock for the 93/33/53 has a flat disc there where the buffer would be. I'm not sure what the retractable stock for this gun has but I have one and will check it later.
