I am confused when it comes to g36 and sl8 bolts.

I eventually plan on doing a conversion.

When doing the conversion, what bolt do I need?

Does an SL8 conversion require a g36 bolt? If so where do you get them?

Also a completely  different question.

Can the G36 conversion be fired if the stock is in the folded position?

From many pictures of conversions it seems that the stock blocks the ejection port.

To do an SL8->G36 conversion you will need an upgraded bolt. The SL8 bolt cannot strip rounds from a double stack mag, so a modified SL8 bolt (with an additional lug welded on it), a US-Made Bolt (Top Notch), or a G36 bolt will be required.

Unless you do A LOT of mods (like cutting the receiver, and 'welding' a true G36 tail piece back on - lookup Chopstix Kid's (?) conversion over on HKPro), the stock will block the ejection port. HDPS, Top Notch & most other will not be able to be fired with the stock folded.
