I have a Century Cetme that is having problems charging. With the mag in or out I have to place the handle against a shooting  bench and lean into the rifle to get it to charge. The rifle charges easer when the hammer is back . No feeding problems This rifle will feed any ammo and runs smooth. Its like the bolt is locking up to tight. I know Jack SH*t about the cetme just enough to remove the stock and pull out the bolt carrier.

Also this rifle is beating the piss out of my lake city brass.  The ejector is nicking the bottom of the casings and while ejecting I,m getting fairly large dents in the side of the cases.  The rifle ejects the brass like 30 to 45 feet away is this normal? My M1a,Ar10 and fal rifles dont eject the brass that far. Is there any way to turn down the gas pressure ?

One other thing I noticed is the brass is filthy covered by burnt powder residue.

Any help would be great!

Thanks in advance ........

The banged up brass and stripes burnt into the case are normal for all G3 style rifles. The ejectors are pretty harsh to the brass and the chamber flutes don't help. But they ARE reliable.

As far as the other stuff, I had a Century Cetme a few years ago that was the same way. It started off VERY tight and hard to charge, but I figured it would break in. Wrong. It only got worse and worse until I could barely pull the fucking charging handle back. Then I checked my bolt gap and there was no gap left to be checked. I sold it and later bought a PTR91. I suggest you do the same.

Can I use the Hk Mp5 data from the pined topic to check my bolt gap?  So how do I repair this rifle if I have no bolt gap left?

thanks SKS_Lover for the info...
