Are there any quality reproduction Claw Mounts available, or is the HK mount the only way to go if I want one?

A.R.M.S. also makes a quality one.

The ARMS one is good as well, weaver rail/rings. Check the EE.

The scope I want to mount is kind of long,  If I go with the arms mount, what will I have to do to keep it out of the way of the cocking handle?  I am mounting it on a PTR91

Well, the scope will sit a bit high on an ARMS mount. I haven't ever had issues with scopes interfering with the cocking handle when in the ARMS mount.

IIRC the A.R.M.S. mount won't clear the handle with anything more than a 44mm objective.

My scope has a 40mm objective, so sounds like I am probably in the clear.  I got the rifle and scope, now the mount/rings are the purchase I need to make, I cant wait to get this scope mounted.

Really any scope that is over 12 inches long may be in the way of the cocking handle.  Take a ruler or a scope mounted in rings and hold it up where the mount sits.  Look for the mount points on the top of the receiver near the rear.

40mm should be fine.
