Thought I'd check if anyone had a Vector V-51 pistol in .308 and ask if they had checked the muzzle velocity with a chrono, how the recoil is and I can already imagine that the muzzle flash is crazy - lol

I've been thinking about getting one as an SBR but I've never shot one.

A general rule of thumb on velocity reduction is approx -50 fps per inch of barrel lost. An HK91 (17.7" barrel) will give you about 2650fps with standard NATO ammo, so for arguments sake I'll say the V51 will get around 2150-2200fps with the 8.5".

Recoil is relative to the shooter.

And as to flash, well.........

Excellent pic osprey!!

I cant manage to get a good flash pic from my 51 or my 53.

recoil is actually not too bad, although it does feel like a kick in the chest. I kinda like it though.

good thing they have flash suppressors on them! lol *sheesh*

so will those accept the same forward grip/accessories as the MP5?
