| Ok, so my buddy has been wanting to get one for a while, obviously not a real mp5 auto sear gun we dont have 8k just lying around, what are the options. Really looking for a quality weapon. We already know that it will be a SBR. Hes wants one with the standard length barrel and forearm deal and wants to have the collapsable stock deal. Thanks in advance guys. |

Are you looking for a semi auto MP5 SBR? If you are, Cohaire and SW MP5's are out there for a little over $1k. You can get a Vector off Gunbroker sometimes for about $1.5k. Take a look at atlantic they might have some. If you're looking for a sear, $8k (for just the sear) is 1999 (?) prices. Sears are running about 12-13k now. Have you done any other research at all yet? |

^ not really, like i said this is my initial research here its not for me....right now... its for my buddy. This place is a wealth of gun knowledge so its the first place i usually come to. ETA- Just a semi auto mp5 not the PDW, but the one that is pretty much the standard mp5 with the collapsable g3 esque with the two rods that collapse on the side. manufactuers that are good and bad and what not. By research we both have fired them several times.... its nice going into LE and knowing people you get to play with fun toys. he doesnt want to have to send it off to have it turned down to the correct length he just wants to get it as a SBR Really looking for a high quality weapon. |
I don't think so. He said standard mp5 length. You would have to chop down the barrel of a hk94 to get it to mp5 length. I think the previous advise is dead on. The only other game in town is a Bobcat Weapons(recently changed name to Red Rivers Arms). They tend to run about 1.5k right now from what I have seen. They are also in the process of getting out of the mp5 clone market. That might be something to keep in mind. |
guess your right, but thought 1st post said he wanted a standard length barrel.....then SBR.....
