First trip out with my new PTR, Ran 300 rnds of surplus (100 each of 3 different types) no problems at all! 2 alum. mags , 1 cetme mag, and 1 5 rnd mag. All worked great. I was shooting from a kneeling position at 100yds and holding 4" groups. (Will try some better ammo from a rest next trip.) I didn't like the trigger creep, so I sent it to Bill Springfield for some of his magic. Handguard looks cool and has threaded holes for rail attachment, but get "HOT" very fast. (wish I had my old asbestos glove from my M2 kit) Over all I really like it, just have to figure out where to get some better gloves. MARPAT1 |
Vist any welding supply distributor. They will carry a full line of leather welding gloves starting at around $4.00 and up. Probably they will have some larger heat reistant gloves for a higher price, but you will have a variety to choose from to protect your hand from the hot forearm. |
