Vector's website shows SBR, pistol, barrel extension, fake suppressor and 16" barreled versions of their V51. Can the pistol be converted to an SBR easily? Can the barrel extension be removed easily ro make an SBR (like the BW-5 FSA)? These look like COOL blaster toys! |
| If you buy the pistol V51, you'll have to have the recoil spring assembly modified on the stock you put on it. The Vectors use a "collapsible rod" spring assembly, kind of like an AK. Someone else will chime in on how much it cost to have Vector modify your assembly, it's somewhere between $50-$75. ARKAR |

Yep, its $60 for Vector to mod the stock to work on a V51. They can mod a sliding stock and even the full, wooden G3 stocks like the one the just did for me. Once modded the stock still works on the longer 308s also. FWIW, a vendor on sturm. has 5 of the V51 pistols for sale new for under $899 each. That is the best price I've seen. |
What exactly is required to remove the barrel extension? I'm trying to decide between the V51 pistol or the rifle with extension for a SBR project. |
The pistol sounds to be the easiest way to go since you don't have to cut anything off of it. |
