Straight mags don't work period! That is why you see them for so cheap compared to German curved mags. Avoid like the plague. Sometimes you hear of people with no issues, but more often than not they don't work regardless of manufacturer. I have a BW5 and they will not feed straight mags. My range rents out real deal MP5's and it won't feed straight mags. A friend of mine has a factory HK94 that was converted to full and it doesn't run on straight mags. See a trend here.

That's a rather nebulous statement, because not all BW's are exactly the same, just as mags may have their own quirks. What works in my gun may not in yours. |

About the straight mags.....
I carried an EnMP5 in Iraq...wouldn't feed w/straight mags. I currently have an HK MP5 and a SW/BW5 and guess what....won't feed straight mags. Go figure. ARCAPTN |

OK, retry:
I'm looking for mags that are most likely to work in a brand new BW5-FS. I prefer curved mags because I think they look better. Plus, from what I have heard and read they tend to work better. Plus, I have never fired a (real) MP5 with anything BUT curved mags. Oh, yes, six more weeks and I get to fire a REAL MP5 (or three) again. Plus my BW should be in. Life is good... |

Straight mags work just fine with FMJ ammo. They made curve mags to help with feeding problems with hollowpoint ammo.
Stick with HK or POF mags... avoid the asian 40rd mags. |

my straight mags work better than the curved mags and always did...I can shoot 800 rounds in straight mags without a jam and barely get 200 shot with curved mags before I have a jam. 40 round aftermarket are the most unreliable while 30 round factory curved are better but I haven't had the experience where they are so great...
For those who curse your straight mags, I'll give you $10.00 a piece if you want to liquidate your supply. |

I have 8 of the straight mags from CDNN. All 8 work fine in my 94.

I have never used the straight mags. Been told they will not work, vary well, in my MP-5.
( By people who should know). hug.gifhAs for factory HK mags they are marked at the bottom 9mm x 19 IE On their left side with the mag inserted in the firearm. (All of the ones I have are)haveww.cdnninvestments.comI typed in MP-5 mags. They say 33rds I could only get 28 in mine). I use them for matches. They have always worked for me. They were $19.99 or so. They have NO marking on them. I shot mostly for matches White Box 115gr FMJ 100 rds for $12.04 out the door at Wal-Mart.
