[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rail System for PTR91 K

On JLD's website their tactical handguard for the PTR91 Ks says it will fit the: HK93/ HK53/ HK33/ PTR91K. Does that mean other manufacturer's rail systems for the HK93/HK53/HK33 will fit my PTR91 K?

JLD Rail System

For example the Knight's Armament HK33/HK93 RAS or the Brugger & Thomet HK33/ HK93 Tri Rail Handguard

I am not even sure if the Knight's is still available. I couldnt find it on their website, but found it on a retailer's website, but it was not in stock.

Go to DSA's site and look at the B&T's then after you get over sticker shock order one from your local shop.

If it's anything like mine, it's also one of the heaviest things you've ever seen.

I went with a surplus wood stock, which I think gave it more character than the plastic.

JLD Rail System

Any rail system that fits the HK33/93 will fit a G3K or PTR-91K. The HK53 rail has an internal dimension identical to the MP5 but extends further rearward over the front trunnion compared to the MP5. Rails made for the HK53 will be too short to fit a G3K.

I'm not sure why JLD has it listed that way but you should use the fit specs provided by KAC or B&T.
