I purchased a PTR-91 from Atlantic Firearms recently and was waiting on a few accessories to arrive before I snapped a pic to post.  I must say that purchasing from Blaine at Atlantic Firearms was first rate and don't hesitate to buy from them, great service!  I also need to credit Robert Johnson at RTG parts along with Frank at P.O.F. for fast service and great products.  I need to note that I wasn't fond of the windage knob that these guns were equipped with on the rear sight, so I replaced it with a G3 windage screw.  I've put a few rounds thru this rig as a function check, but still haven't accuracy checked her yet.  So far I really like this rifle, I've got an HK93 and I've always wanted a 7.62 rifle and when I heard of the JLD rifles and their quality, I had to have one.  I'm really considering purchasing a carbine version and having Jayson at I.G.F. do his G3K magic on it, so I'll be calling Blaine at Atlantic again!  Here's my PTR with some accessories.  Thanks Blaine!  ARKAR

Edited to add:I'm so sure that I'm gonna have to have a G3K clone that I ordered two HK93 forearms from Cal's Sporting Armory.  Picked them up for about $70.00 a piece, not bad!  I think these were the last two that Cal's had in stock, after I submitted my order, the parts' status changed to "out of stock".  One of these will be going on my HK93, it was a law-enforcement trade-in and I'm also going to have Jayson refinish it.  I heard that the PTRs will be coming with the tactical aluminum handguard, so I decided to go ahead a snatch up a handguard for it now.

Congratulations!  I purchased my PTR-91K last week and I had the opportunity to shoot it yesterday.  It was great!

I have a question about your bipod.  I bought a surplus bipod from JLD and received it yesterday.  It had a little bit of rust on it but seemed like it was in OK condition. I slid it into the groove on the handguard and it is extremely loose.  Was yours a tight fit or did it fit loose?  I also tried to fold the legs and one side folded fine while the other wouldn't.  I then noticed that the hinge on the bipod had a crack in the metal.  I think it is broken.

My bipod fits fairly tight, requires some force to swivel it from side to side, but no over-exertion of force-that is, it's not real tight, but it's not loose either.  The legs lock in the up and down postition with postitive action and exhibit little play in either postition.  Hope this helps-ARKAR

I had one bipod with plastic feet that fits pretty tight and another with metal feet that is loose like the one you descride.  Is yours metal or plastic?  BYW I got the all metal one from POF.

I recently aquired the PTR-91K carbine model which sits right next to my older post ban PTR-91 and both are my favorites for 308 shooting.  The 91K is a tight package and the accurate shooting delivery of this shorter package really is impressive.....The carbine was so accurate from the box i figured i will keep it simple and keep the aimpoint or Eotech for the FAL or M4.

I bought a metal bipod from JLD. It doesn't fit in the groove very well at all.  Very loose. It isn't even worth attaching to my rifle.  Is there a trick to adjusting the bipod from the closed to open position?  I think mine is too old or rusted to work.  I don't want it to break.

From my experience and with talking to others some of the bipods are just like this.  Most of them seem to be from POF.
