I am a new owner of a PTR 91 and have read in prior posts that I can send the trigger off to an individual / company that can "fine tune" it to improve accuracy. Can anyone tell me who to contact for this? thanks in advance |

Hi, i can set you up. Trigger creep reduced up to 94%+, rough feel is smoothed out, pull weight reduced to about 4.75lbs from the factory 10 to 12 lbs pull. $35 Minimize trigger slack take up and over travel add $14. I have references all over this forum and other HK forums, best prices around. Bill Springfield [email protected] |
To do this I only have to ship the lower unit right? I just made an offer on a ridiculously low priced PARS rifle and want a trigger job done. (Also need a 922r compliance job done to get real furniture on, but I hear that ain't too hard.) |
Yes all you need is to send the lower unit. If you get the trigger parts he can install them for you while he does the work. |
sweet , so if i get some us internals, I can get some real HK furniture? what are my options? Bill rather than me getting them and sending to you, can you pick me out some nice american trigger parts and I'll pay you for them and installation too? |

Thanks for the references guys! On US parts, I really like using the JLD parts, depending on when your PTR was made, it may already have US parts. The hammer and sear are marked JLD. These US parts started showing up in the last year. But send me an Email and we could work something out. Bill [email protected] |

Someone tell me if I'm on track here. From what I understand, there are two parts (I think it was the hammer and sear) in the trigger group/lower/action area that JLD makes American parts for, but they normally only install one or the other. If you can find out which is which, and replace the other foreign part, you can then legally add a German stock. Correct? |

Later model JLD's with the HK furniture come with a US hammer and sear marked JLD. Some JLD's come with US furniture had imported sears and hammers, some had US made hammers (SW marked) and possible US made sear (unmarked). Most US made sears are not marked in other makes. ..sometimes the hammer isn't either. Can I tell the difference with the hammers...yes most of the time...can I tell the difference with the sears?...nope...... If you care and really want to make sure, you can order the JLD hammer and sear and be sure, then put the HK forend and butt stock on. Bill |
| I visited Bill web site and after reading all 5 pages I'm confused about which Trigger Job to get. I have a PTR91K. Could somebody please post the benefits in simple speak of each verses the other. If I understand, the STANDARD does the least modification and leaves the original trigger in place. The CONTOURED replaces the original trigger with one of a different shape and the SET replaces the trigger but also modifies the receiver. Just not sure about which does what. |

Phillyd2 must have been checking out Williams web site, the work I perform is reducing the pull weight down to around 4.75lbs, reduce the long rough pull to a very short, smooth clean break. This runs $35, option to minimize the trigger slack takeup and over travel is $14. This makes it feel like a single stage pull. Wiliams does great work on the upper end, I offer trigger work for the average weekend target shooter, who can't afford or doesn't want a real light trigger. My prices can't be beat, and they also include return shipping. Thanks, Bill Springfield [email protected] |
| Is there a easy way to tell if my PTR 91K has a threaded barrel and a real HK flash hider or not. Any benefit to the muzzle brake? I don’t really care about US part counts. I have heard a ton of people talk about this but have yet to ever hear of any official LEO or ATF actually inspect anybody's gun at a range or elsewhere. |
