I apologize for the new thread.

How about this folder for a Vector V93?
www.dsarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=BT20155&storeid=1&image=btump.gif

Says it will work but doesn't say if it would have to be modified or not.

Any thoughts on how this would work / look?

The B&T's are very great stocks!  I've heard nobody complain about them, and hell, I love mine!

Search through this forum, there are some pics posted on 94's.

Presuming Vector is still using buffered carriers, I think you're cool with using it on a V93.

But.. I'm still skeptical about using it with a rifle caliber and non-buffered carrier. YMMV

The B&T have a buffer built in.

When the manufacturer themselves doesn't list them for use with anything but the MP5 series of guns, I'm skeptical.

I think the manufacturer does list that stock as acceptable for use with the HK93.

Am I missing something ?

If it is, I haven't found it. www.brugger-thomet.ch/

If so, I stand corrected.

You are correct, my bad, was basing my statement on DSArms advertisement versus BandTs marketing materials.

I appreciate your imput on using this stock. I added one to an order I placed with DSArms this afternoon and will give it a try. If it doesn't fit I'll just send it back to them.

I think I'll try contacting the manufacturer and ask a few questions while I'm waiting for it to arrive.

I  own the stock in question and have tried using it on my 53 with a buffered carrier  The B&T stock is designed to be used with an MP5 and so only has a urethane buffer in the back, not the spring loaded buffer that a 93 / 53 buffered stock would have.

The buffer in the carrier of the 93 / 53 uses a half circle shaped buffer that hits the urethane buffer and cuts it up within only a few rounds.  After that section of the urethane buffer is chewed up, the metal carrier buffer is striking the plastic of the stock.  I am not sure what happens beyond this point because that's when I removed the B&T from my 53.

Some have suggested that an unbuffered 93 / 53 carrier is the correct way to go when using this stock, and I imagine it would cause less damage to the stock if you were to do this since the carrier would strike over it's entire surface instead of the smaller half circle buffer.  I would think this would increase the felt recoil however, since you'd be running with no spring-loaded carrier at all, only the urethane one.
