[ARCHIVED THREAD] - JLD Handguard

I just picked up my new JLD PTR 91 with the standard black
polymer furniture. The handguard - forearm seems a bit on the flimsy / narrow
side. Any suggestions where to get a wider handguard?

I have one for sale in the EE but you must watch your parts count when adding imported wide forarms.

In a telephone conversation I had with a gentleman from JLD this week, he said that they (JLD) were no longer offering the standard wide forearms for their rifles. Instead, they're only offering the vented "tactical" handguards, which accept rails, etc. These are apparently US parts, so the parts count thing is a non-issue.

I recently recieved one of these new tactical handguards and can say they are very well made. The rails for the are not out yet but should be available in a couple of weeks per Victor at JLD.
