A few days ago I asked about MP5 clones but it seems Bobcat is the only present manufacturer so what about HK clones in general? What is the best one (if any)? I am taking HK91, 94 clones etc.? Are any of them really worth an investment? Vector Arms? |

JLD : www.jldenter.com/ Bobcat : www.bobcatweapons.com/ Vector : www.vectorarms.com/indexframe.html JLD is the closest HK clone production firearm currently made in the US because of their equipment. Otherwise you are buying a Special Weapons gun or SW receiver built into a gun by someone else like Vector or Bobcat or that Cohaire SW company. Vector = Great builds on US receivers. JLD = Best HK91 clone built on HK licensed equipment. Bobcat = Getting better everyday... or so you will read from reviews on this board. Seems that most on this board would go with a Vector 5.56 gun any day of the week... JLD seems to be kicking some major ass in the battle rifle area. And Bobcat seems to make a very good HK 94 clone, very few complaints from most ; besides the ones that really hate SW. So those are your 3 choices. JLD : .308 Bobcat : 9mm Vector : 5.56 & ( 10mm,. 40, .357 sig, .308)> coming soon from Vector / Special Weapons / Cohaire You really cannot go wrong for the money. I'd take a 98% Clone over a 100% overpriced HK any day of the week All 3 companies have very good warranties and stand behind their products 100% Also, don't let anyone talk you out of a Bobcat or Vector because of them being SW oriented... SW does things that everyone else only talks about doing. They had a rough past, with good reason, but now things are sailing smoother. So buy with confidence from Bobcat or Vector.... or JLD if you are in it for a .308 |
| I just picked up a used BW5. With teh A3 stock, I've had a few FTF ( bolt didn't close completely). Also note though, that the A3 stock endcap is kinda wobbly on the receiver, so it could be that casuing my issues. I will shoot again with the A2 on it ( solid lockup on rec.) tommorrow, and will see if it makes a difference ( recoil spring mounts into endcaps). |
