I know 2 guys that have bobcat BW-5's and they both function just fine - plenty of fun to shoot. Might not get you invited to the wine and french cheese cocktail hours with the h&k groupies but odds seem pretty good you'll enjoy it.

Well, I own the HK "real deal" and a SW/BW5.  I would go with a BW5 for the money.  If it doesn't work as expected out of the box (which mine did), a few minor tweaks, and you are good to go.  You won't have to worry about dropping it or any other crazy stuff like that.  But if you have the liquid cash like some folks think they do....then go for the HK94/MP5.

Again, just my opinion and what I know.

..... converted to a MP5 semi with paddle mag release and true 3 lug MP5 barrel and not just cut down, with a FBI ambi clipped and pinned semi lower, with a $200 tax stamp to make it SBR...

That's the ONLY way.

+1 that's exactly the way I'd do it if I had the money and resources.
