BW5-FS > Heckler & Koch

I really want the bobcat weapons BW5-FS. Who has them in stock? I have always loved the look of the MP5 or 94, fired the MP5 just the other day and I'm now hooked. Thanks for any help.

I tried atlantic and they were out of everything but the 89 variants. I then went to gunsamerica and found mine.

Cool thing is that I picked this one up with the rail system and 3 mags for the price of the bobcat alone before the price increase.

How do you like the stock? Mine was a little wobbly and once fully open it took a strong hit to get it closed. I took it off and replaced it with the B&T UMP side folder, much better now.

Mine opens and closes fairly well. Every once in a while if it is popped out hard it will be a little difficult to get back in. It as a very slight wobbel. I really didnt notice but templar at the ffl that I did the transfer through pointed it out. I really didnt see it as a big thing but I guess it could be. I ordered a fixed but stock for it too.

Do you guys think that there would be much difference in accuracy between the BW5 and a BW89 pistol turned into an SBR?

So maybe the BW5 is pretty accurate out to 100 yards and the BW89 SBR 75?

damn! i've never shot an mp5 beyond 25yds but as accurate as it is at 25, i could probably hit a man in the chest at 100 semi-auto if i was in the prone, the piece was supported, and the guy wasn't moving...

steady...steady...squeeze...the...trigger...

Agreed. 9mm out to 100 yards would be difficult to get good groupings.

I routinely shoot my SW5SBR at 50 yards and keep all rounds in the black on a B9 target. My friend shoots his stock 94 at 100 and shoots paper plate groups without fail. Just has to really crank up the elevation to make the hits.

This might be a little off topic, but I would HATE to shoot a bad guy with a 9mm at 100 yds for frear of it only pissing him off. I'd say the EFFECTIVE range of a 9mm MP5 would only be about 25 to 50 yds max.

Granted, you guys were not talking about that so I kinda am waisting your time I guess. Ok, talk amongst yourselves......I'll go back to looking busy at my office.

Also, wouldn't the barrel length of the 94 (16") give it a little more accuracy giving it the ability to reach out to 100 yards? Also, I too would fear trying to shoot a commie robot at 100 yards. In my mind I picture bullets bouncing off left and right, just like in Superman

If you want to reach out to 100 yards, look elsewhere. Pistol caliber rounds aren't meant for that type of engagement.

I sure as hell wouldn't want to be shot at 100yds with a 9mm

I guarantee if you hit someone center of mass (given no body armor) at 100yds with a 9mm....they aren't going anywhere....bud DOWN.

I don't buy that. I have read reports that the 9mm round is ineffective at taking down bad guys in the sand box and the engagement distance is not even close to 100 yards. I'll let YOU shoot someone with a 9mm round at a 100 yards, me, I'll use .223 or .308.

Good question...I believe the Beretta. However, how much more umph can you get out of the 9mm round by shooting out of an 8" barrel? Maybe alot, but I would still rather shoot someone with a 223 or 308 at 100 yards, especially if they are armoured.

They only shoot ball over there too. Remember that unlike the 556 the 9mm doesnt need to fragment in order to get a good hit on someone. As long as it still has enough velocity to expand it should be just as effective.

If I could have a HK53 or a MP5 I would probably use the Mp5 with 9mm at 100yards just because of the issue with 556 out of short barrels. Both weapons are entry weapons. If you are going to be shooting at stuff out to 100+ you need a G36, M4, or something with a longer barrel.

I agree. I in no way meant I would rather shoot a short barreled 223 out to 100 yards. I would actually rather use my para fal or at the very least my m4.
