| Which H&K rifle setup makes the best tactical long range precision rifle? MSG90, PSG-1, or SR9? Or is there one that I am missing? |

If you can stay prone, or use something for a forearm suport, then the PSG-1. If you have to shoot off hand, then the MSG-90. Plus on this rig, you can swap trigger housing to get full auto if needed (swing lower). The 223 platforms (G-33's ) don't shoot well enough to push the rigs long range, plus there is the matter of knock down power at the longer ranges. --------- Now it your looking for something in a semi, Start with a New PTR-91 (bull barrel with FS), change out the forarm to a wide style with sheild (POF), change the butt stock out to a MSG-90 with a double spring buffer (Top Notch if they every produce it), add a scope and base (FAC/CDNN for the steel claw type), and have the trigger worked. Bought correctly, the rig will be hovering around the $1300 with a super sniper scope, and hold its own (auto loader) well past the 600 yard mark for chest shots. |
When you say "tactical" what do you mean? When I read it I think that you want a long range rifle that could also be used for close quarters like a carbine or something but maybe it doesn't mean the same thing to you. |
