[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gap between upper and lower

I was just wondering about this. Does anyone elses have about a 1/32" gap between the rear of the upper and front of the lower when closed? I know there is always some, I was just wondering how common that is. My rifle is a british L1A1, in great shape, although the lower's serial # don't match the upper. Appreciate any info or insight. Thanks

Let me guess........the rifle has an Entre'prise inch receiver
....right?

Nope, she's original, hardly used and procured from the local police dept. in the 80's
