I just recently purchased a Vortex SPARC to use on a semi-fun gun. It seems solidly made and most of the reviews were positive so I took the plunge. When the scope arrived I took it out and, while searching for the gun I got it for, my eyes fell upon my FAL with its lonely and empty DSA rail topcover...
Anyway, the SPARC is currently sitting on the FAL though it hasn't been shot yet. Reading Vortex's website they say the SPARC was tested with 1,000 rounds of .375 H&H Magnum....so a .308 can't be too bad, right? Before I bust a brand new scope...is this a bad idea? Vortex has a great warrenty so it might be worth it just to find out. If I like it I just might get another SPARC. |

How was the SPARC on your FAL? Well, long story short, it ended up mounted on top of one of my ar's, but I am extremly happy with it, and considering another one for my Fal #2. Fal #1 had a millet dms1 that lasted about 300 rounds before breaking. Now it has a leatherwood scope, whcih has been surviving somfar. |
