You'll find lots of info on the rifle you're talking about on FalFiles. They've seen lots of pics of it recently.
The receiver is 'ISRAEL MATCH', which does not mean it's a match-grade receiver. It's a Type I metric with the unique barrel threads the Israelis used for awhile. |

Depends partly on whether it is a preban or not. Israeli Match makes me think Springfield. Some were also built by Armscorp and others by Onyx, both on Israeli S.B.L. receivers.
Israeli standard FALs came with non-threaded lugged barrels on earlier versions and non-lugged threaded barrels with an early pattern Belgian 22 mm combo device on later models. At any rate, standard Israeli FAL kits are less common than HB kits (or perhaps just less commonly offered for sale) and are therefore in somewhat more demand. If it is a complete kit you can probably figure some $1500 and up. ETA, the grenade launching attachment is still available and worth some $25 or so. |

If they are marked SA 48 they are pre ban, if they are marked SA 4800 they are post ban.
Value will depend on if it is a pre import, post import, or a kit build. A Pre import HB is about 2,000 A Pre import light barrel is running about 1,500 and up. Kit build HB about 1,2000 Kit build LB about the same. |

Possible someone purchased a receiver from them and built a kit, or they built it their self's. You should be able to call them and give them a serial number, and they should be able to tell you. The receiver was one of the better early ones.
The price will depend on if they built it, or it was built by some one with a kit. Bottom price would be the cost of a kit and reciever about 650.00 Upper if they built it 1,100 or so. Now I don't play a Doctor on TV and I did not even sleep in a Holiday Inn last night so remember....... This is just my opinion having owned 5 and still owning 3, and I'm sure some one will be along to differ.... Which is fine...... |

The rifle is mine. I've known the builder for almost 30 years now, as we went to school together since the 5th grade. He is a well-respected gunsmith here in the Nashville area, though he doesn't do a lot of work for the public. The builder found the LB kit at Knob Creek in late '97 or early '98 and built it '94 Ban-compliant. It was is personal rifle until I bought it from him in 2003.
Pics are in the latest post in the "FAL pics" thread above... |

Go here and look.
Link They have 2 LB listed. One for 950.00 and one for 1,399.00 both have a short ammount of time left and no bids. Both are kits built on DSA receivers , which is supposed to be the best, but both of these appear to be non-matching kits, so they are worth less. Hope this helps |

Just the kit alone can go for $650.
http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=2918785 And that is not a complete kit either, wrong rear sight, screwed up barrels, other missing parts. The two listed on gunbroker above are not from Israeli kits, they have a number of Israeli parts, one more than the other. The more expensive one has less and isn't likely to sell at that price. The $950 one looks like a good deal to me, even if it isn't all Israeli. |
