I don't see a guide or primer in this subforum... What's the difference between standard and metric? Anyone else have anything that'd help me out in deciding what to buy? It's either this, an M1a, or a PTR-91...

Personally, I've got an AR-10, FAL, and an M1. All three are very nice rifles, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. What do you plan to use the gun for? |

shoot stuff. seriously though, I just want a larger battle rifle to round out my collection... I've got bolt guns and .223 covered; I used to have a PTR-91 and loved it but unfortunately sold it off to fund other stuff. Never shoulda, it was real nice, but it's too late to cry now... So I'm back looking for something to fill that void in the safe. For now just plinking, I don't know what exactly I'd use it for. Someday maybe some kind of competition, but not now. I'm more of a hunter: duck, varmint, occasionally deer, and other small vermin. So I looked at falfiles.com and on the home page it looks like there's a list of all the stuff I wanna know down the left side of the page, but none of the links are hot, there's nothing there. I looked around the forum a bit, but there's no "primer" anywhere... thanks, Benji |
