Gas system is adjustable, run to your hearts content.

No problems on mine using an HVT with the QD muzzle device option. Set my gas system to run without the muffler and just leave it there.

Will a suppressor over gas my system.  I believe the FAL rifle can be a MBR of the 21centery.  Using a suppressor fulltime is requier 21 centery MBR.  I post a pic of my FAL on here.

yes, big time.

when you open up the gas adjuster to vent the extra gas it will still be over gassed a little (if gun is in spec to begin with) and you will have all the extra noise associated with the big gas bleed off.  kind of defeats the purpose of a silencer.  but it is still really cool

I wonder if the size of the can makes a differents.  I'm sure it dose, just would like to get a list together to compair suppressors.  When is the next Silencer Shoot?

Haven't shot it yet.  I think I am going to drill the gas plug in G setting to see if I can get it to just cycle with milsurp rounds...should be a fun experiment.

Hello,

Yes, the Belgian Short flash hider is re-moveable. Remember that the
thread pattern is 9/16 x 24 LEFT hand thread. The best thing to do is to
contact Gemtech or Advanced Armament. Both of those companies produce
excellent suppressors.

All you need to do is tell them that you have a 9/16 x 24 LEFT hand
thread, and they can made the back plate of the can in that thread
pattern.

If you are going to shoot a can on your rifle, I would advise getting
several extra gas piston springs. Using a suppressor on your rifle cooks
that spring pretty bad, and they need to be replaced after about 200
rounds if you shoot the rifle hard.

If you call Gemtech ask to speak with Kel, if you call Advanced Armament
ask for Freddy.

Best Wishes,

DSA

Interesting.
I've ran a fair amount more than 200 rounds through mine without replacing the gas piston spring.
This is on a short gas system Para. I have replaced it recently and I'm sure the suppressor had
a hand in the need but the rifle also had several thousand rounds in her at the time and that's
while it was mine. No idea how many were shoot through it by the previous owner.

It is a cheap and easy to replace (and check) part so having several on hand isn't a bad thing.
Worth the price in my book.

Note: I've also taken to using a shok-buff thingy for the carrier as a just-in-case measure. Not
sure if it makes a difference but it doesn't hurt the functionality and gives me peace of mind.

Thanks for the reply guys I am going to go with AAC 762-SD.  I will get some more piston springs I all read have a buffer tech in my FAL now.

This thread needs more pics....

And yeah, I would gladly do so myself, if I could find a 16"-18" Para for sale, and had a suppressor...
