Been wanting one for awhile now and got this in a trade last week.

Aussie L1A1 kit on a Century receiver. It's in excellent shape, and functions fine. Also got 15 metric mags (fit snug & function fine), a Tapco railed dust cover, stock tool, front sight/gas adjustment wrench, and a bunch of magazine dust covers. Altogether I had about $850 invested in the gun I traded towards this rifle.

I had originally wanted a metric rifle but am pretty happy with this inch gun so far. I do wish there were more options in the furniture, & flash hider departments, but I'm fond of several of the inch rifles features such as the folding rear sight & charging handle.

Only put about 200 rounds through it so far & haven't had any issues other than the price of the ammo.

Anyway here it is....

Looks nice and I'd say you didn't do bad at all considering the times not to mention you got at least $150 in mags thrown in.

I'm not sure what you had in mind for a flash hider but you should be able to have the barrel threaded for whatever you want. And for furniture you might mention it as some of the guys here have plenty of experience building and customizing FALs so it may be possible to accomplish what you had in mind.

Hey, very nice! I recently got my first FAL too - mine is also a Century built-rifle, a Stg58 kit on an Imbel receiver. My trade was pretty similar... I traded an AR I had maybe $800-850 in for the FAL, the railed dust cover, a Russian scope, 4 mags, and about 150 rounds of .308. I finally got to shoot mine the other day and it's a blast! I'd love to get another one, but I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to afford to feed the one I have. Very nice rifle, though - congrats and enjoy it!

I am not a fan of the inch pattern rifles, but I like that one. You can put a metric pattern lower assembly on the rifle, swap the rear sights, and keep on truckin' if you want more furniture options. Also, metric and inch hand guards will interchange without modification.
