Post your opinions, please. I would like to own a Para FAL, I now own an Israeli HB version that I am thinking of converting to Para configuration. Should I trade the Israeli version in to the local gunshop for a new Para or just convert the Israeli one? What does the Hive think in pro/con of the idea. What is the current market for an Israeli FAL?

Trade. Assuming that your rifle is a genuine Israeli manufactured F A L, it's unmolested value will far exceed any non Belgian Para.  If it is a kit gun with Israeli parts, it would be a shame to modify the lower to accommodate the mounting of the Para stock assembly. In addition, it is sort of silly to make a Para out of a heavy barrel rifle.
