Hey guys, Ill be getting an STG58 in a couple of weeks and was wondering what spares are recommended? I plan on getting 20 mags straight away. but can get a deal on spares so I might as well buy now.

Heres what I have so far:

Gas Piston
Firing Pin (1pc)
Combo Wrench
FAL Spring Set

Is there anything else that I should throw in? I was thinking about an HD Gas Regulator also. Besides more mags...

Thanks guys

What you list plus the extractor, ejector, their associated springs, etc., and the tool to install the extractor.  Posssibly a rear sight aperture, as it is relatively exposed.

DSA sells a lot of these parts in kit form.

I would also get a stock removable tool.  Saves your eye from being poked out by the recoil spring when it leaps out.

A front site adjustment tool.

Roll pins, don't remember what size they are, but you have two, one in the gas block that keeps the gas tube from unscrewing and in the charging handle lug.

Check with some like the GunPartsGuy for the small parts.  Picking up a complete bolt and carrier has come in handy with me.  However, wit a new bolt, you need to check headspace.

You might want pick up a set of headspace guages.

I build my own FALs and I use all these tools plus more.  You probably won't need them unless you really get addicted!

Enjoy your new FAL and good luck.
