Sorry for the stupid question, but I have been thinking about adding a fal to my small collection, but I have trouble keeping all the different variations straight.
I do know that DSA's are top of the line, but are probably out of my price range, at least a new one.
Anyone up for giving me a short rundown of what to look for, and maybe what to stay away from

the differance in a great Fal and a so so Fal is only $200.00 to $300.00 more . if You want a great Fal and can shell out $1000.00 to $1100.00 get a DSA STG58 . check the Fal files for all the variations . find a Friendly FFL and you would be able to save Big Bucks ,ask him how you get the good guy price ordering direct from DSA,if he's cool he will hook you up.

As is always mentioned in these threads, avoid Vulcan, Hesse, and possibly unibrow Century's.  They seem to have the worst reps.  There are some who have had good luck with all three, but as a new person just getting into FAL's, there is alot of potential for problems.
