Well I stumbled in here to look around and damn if I didn't end up ordering an Imbel parts kit. I love do-it-yourself stuff and this might be right up my alley. And as a plus, it will add another caliber to my arsenal.

Ordered the kit from Interordnance and I am still looking for U.S. replacement parts and the receiver. So it looks like receivers are a bit pricy AND hard to find. Any chance that supply catches up with demand or should I buy what I can get? There are a few on Gunbroker that I have an eye on but not ready to pull the trigger. I'll post pics of the kit when I get. Thanks for another addiction.

It seems like the parts kits and receivers are never on the market at the same time. This has gotten worse since the Imbels have dried up. I picked up a Imbel last summer for a not too bad price to build on a kit from Dans. The other two kits I have will probably wait until DCI or ORF(ha-ha) get their receivers in production. DSAs are nice but I think they just had a price increase. It all depends on how bad you want to build and how soon. This is the economy at work, short supply and great demand= higher prices. This unfortunately this includes surplus .308 at the moment.

Tell me about it. I don't see ammo getting any cheaper in the near future for anything. I can't say I'm in a huge hurry for the receiver. I'll wait until I get my tax return and see how the market is. Definately a sellers market now. Any group buys ever crop up here or at falfiles?
