Hey all,
It seems that both Wideners and AIM have Paki (POF) .308 surplus in stock.  Not that bad of a price by today's standards, but still quite high none the less.  I was just wondering if you guys would run this ammo through your FALs or HKs?  I still have some SA surplus, but im down to my last case and would like to pick up some more low priced ammo.

Basically if it goes bang evertime without any problems then Ill pick up a case or two.  Not too worried if its not super accurate.

Thanks,
~Dj

I'm personally not planning on buying any.

I wouldn't shoot it through my Imbel junker. The .303 by these guys sucks so much ass that it actually has a wikipedia entry.

Controversy
POF's headstamped .303 Mk VII SAA ammunition had an incredibly poor reputation amongst military surplus rifle shooters,[citation needed] being noted for hangfires ("Click-Bang") and failures to fire, as well as being highly corrosive and difficult if not impossible to reload - all undesirable qualities in military ammunition. It is thought[citation needed] that poor storage conditions may be a major contributor to the generally inferior quality of this ammunition, as the projectiles themselves are well made and accurate.

It is worth noting that the No 4 Mk I rifles made by POF were of good quality, although they are difficult to find due to the scarcity of their export from Pakistan.

If the ammo comes from a country where poopooing in the drinking water is socially acceptable it will not be purchased by me, JMO.................. that is all!

Well well well.. while I agree that the Paki ammo will not touch my FAL.

I am personaly offended by your reference to an IMBEL as a "junker" and I demand satisfaction as you have besmirched the dignity and honor of IMBELs everywhere.

I fail to see where reloadability is high on the priority scale of any military. Brass gets left on the battlefield, not hoarded up for a second go round.

Corrosive? So what? All military ammo up to roughly the fifties was corrosive. Corrosive ammo is nothing new or out of the ordinary when you're dealing with military surplus.
