I took mine. Got a shot off and tagged..... a tree limb. Deflected my shot and she had her lucky day. I went down to the creek and tried one shot at an old log next to the dirt bank and it hit exactly where it should. Maybe I'll get something this December. |
I like my FAL in the field but I think I might look for lighter hardgaurds. With the DSA aluminumn free float it's a bit front heavy and more than a bit cold! |
As do I. Thats the reason I drag that heavy bitch through the woods. I like shooting that rifle and using it in practice. In my (admitedly limited) experiance the bipod is a waste. I can never find ground where the sitting height bipod would let me get into a comfortable position and I almost never find a good spot to go prone. From sitting is my most common position. Just practice that at the range if you can. You'll steady up. I usually get some interest from the other hunters about it too. I've had very few people make anything but positive comments (except about it's weight) when they hold it. |
