Tapco, DSA, Old Sarge, any of the surplus mag dealers. They're around a buck or two.

Hint: they also work on M-14 mags.

I have loaders for the M1 and cant get them to fit over the tab on my FAL mags, do you snap them on fron the back or modify them?
I know the stripper clips are the same, but I couldn't find the charger on any of the sites.

I'd guess thats because most stripper clipped FAL ammo was for rifles like the Canadian C1 that used a clip guide in the dust cover to charge the mag while in the gun, no?

EDT: ok marstar has magazine chargers so I guess that answers that.

The FAL mag charger and the M-14 mag charger (Spoon) are completely different.

Apparently the Fal unit can be used on both types of Mags, but the M-14 spoon is specific to the M-14 mag.  Perhaps it could be modified, can't say.  You might be jast as well off selling the M-14 spoons and applying the money towards proper FAL mag chargers.

All this said, IMHO the M-14 type is superior because they will easily fit in a bandolier, and they were originally issued one to each bandolier, always in the same end pocket.  You always had a fresh one in the next bandolier.  If you use M-16 ammo pouches to carry your FAL mags, you can use the grenade-securing strap to secure a FAL mag charger in the grenade pocket.  Loop the strap through the charger, and carry more than one in case of loss.

I went with the receiver cover that has a stripper clip mount built into it.  It works great.

That's fine, but remember that by virtue of its' design, the stripper clip top cover will adnit more dust and debris, so cleaning will be a more frequent occurance, especially in dusty climes.
