I was looking to buy some kind of AR, but I heard of an FN FAL for sale and these guns have always interested me.  Plus I'm a deal hunter, but I haven't been able to get a good grasp on the pricing of these guns.

The guy said he had an FN FAL for $650.  The only detail I have is that it is a .308 as of now.  Is this a reasonable price for a used FNFAL and what should I look for specifically on these guns to make sure I'm not getting screwed over.

Thanks,
x156

-btw this is my frist post in the FAL side, if this is a dumb or uninformed question feel free to let me have it.

You need to find out more about the gun...(mfgr, etc)...there are many different companies building FAL rifles.
Some are AWESOME, and some are CRAP.

Find out what brand of reciever it is built on...you want an IMBEL, or a DSA. Stay away from a HESSE reciever rifle.
If it is a Century Arms gun...it is "hit or miss". Some people are happy with them, but many are not.

Post more info about the rifle, and your question will be easier to answer....(IMHO $650 sounds a bit on the low side for a good FAL)
