Your lower is INCH pattern. If the ser# starts with AD, you can narrow it down to Aussie easily. If it has/had a thumbhole on it, the pistol grip stud most likely was removed. Gunpartsguy sells a L1A1 pistol grip bushing set up to fix this issue. 90% (my estimate) of FAL's in this country are built from parts kits. Unless you're lucky enough to have a early import, like a Poyer or have a DSA SA series, they're all built from dismantled/used military rifles. Study up on the whole US parts issue before switching/replacing a bunch of parts---thats my suggestion. The receiver IS new, and is Century Arms. Receivers are destroyed on parts kits for importation----that is why you have used parts on a new receiver. I would shoot it first to see how it runs and if there are any functional issues before ANYTHING else---because that can/will play into what you do concerning parts. There is lots of good info. here and especially at FAL FILES on this stuff. |
