Just got home with my first FAL. Confess that this was an impulse 'buy' and traded in a police surplus(not CPO) Sig P220 & Ithaca M37 for it. It has a 'DC INDUSTRIES INC. BLOOMINGTON, MN" lower.  Got a DSA rail system on the cover. Green furniture with funky loop in the buttstock. A 16" barrel with a 5" flash hider on it. Looks like someone's safe queen that got sold to pay for Christmas credit cards. Pix to follow later when I find the digital camera.

Understand that there are two different magazine types(inch & metric), which would be the correct mag for this?

Dan Coonan made metric receivers.  And post pics man, pics!

It sounds like one of Dan Coonan's metric receivers. These were sold individually and are quality cast construction with a good rep. The furniture sounds like DSA x-series stuff. Enjoy the new toy

The markings that you described are on the upper receiver. What markings are on the barrel ( under the hand guards)? What markings are on the lower receiver?
