Looking to buy my first FAL saw one pretty cheap but don`t like the stock setup it`s a one piece thumb hole stock (stock and pistol grip are one piece), can this easily be easily changed to a normal (seperate stock / seperate pistol grip) setup? -Todd

It can be, but you will have to adjust the US parts count to accomodate the 89 import ban.  You will need 7 US parts with a flash hider and 6 without.

i'm pretty sure some of the lowers were modified where the PG would be to accomodate the thumbhole stock.
stripped lowers aren't too hard to get ahold of.

It's probably one of the L1A1 sporters made by Century for sale back when the AWB was in force.

I believe the stock and grip can just be replaced - but you would have to add some US parts to
be legal.

Century rifles are'nt usually a great bargain
