Hi all, I wonder if someone has the opportunity and time to take some pics of his 20 rd straight FAL mag for me ? I dunno if there PC players here, but i've a friend who work as freelance for the video games industry, and he need hi-res pictures to make 3D models and textures of various firearms and accessories. Now he work on Ghost Recon 3 : www.ghostrecon.com/uk/ghostrecon3 I've begin a weapon database for that purpose, but it's hard since i've no access to firearms. So all the reference pics come from foreign people than i've contacted on internet, who're kind enough to help me. That's why it'll be really helpful if you can take some good pics for me. Here my site : www.imagestation.com/member/index.html?name=DeicideNB (you need to be registered to see all the pics, and it's free) Now, imagine than you must drawn a weapon in 3D, it's like works with blue prints; so you need all the sides possibles and some details for the moving parts. Once the 3D model is over, the texture work begin, that why the pics must not be angled, blured or too dark; it's like grab the "skin" of the real thing and stick photorealistic textures on the model. I would like these views, Mag empty : -Left and right side -Front and rear -Follower -Floorplate Next, Mag full : -Rear -Follower (top) I repeat, all the pics must be taken in the bigger resolution possible. You guys should try to make a game thats fairly realistic and also where you could customize your weapon (similar to americas army except iwth more guns) Don't know how realistic it is though. That or a game about Rhodesia would be awsome  ETA: I'd help but I dont have any good backrounds to put the stuff against. Also, there are several French people on the board who have rifles, maybe they will chime in. |

Yeah, i like the customization system in AA also, i hope than a FPS will be realistic enough to add that feature one day. In Operation Flashpoint 2 you'll be able to play in 3 different areas, including Southeast Asia, Central Europe, and Africa. Background is not really a problem (see my post above) i'm mean do what you can :) Thanks, i'll try to contact some frenchies here. |
