Hello to all,
On my SA58 Carbine, I use a Aimpoint ML2 on a ARMS mount with a DSA scope mount. I am thinking of transferring this Aimpoint w/mount to another rifle.

Your experiences / opinions please on the Eotech 552 series sights on this particular rifle, ie head position on stock, etc ... Pictures would be most appreciated.

Thanks

The EO Tech set up works fine. I use an original Bushnell Holosight with 2X adapter mounted on the DSA rail cover - also no riser. I'm using an x-stock by DSA and the head position is fine for me.

I actually prefer the Bushnell to the aimpoint. The preference for me is due to the large circle with small dot reticle versus just the red dot for the Aimpoint.  Just a preference for me YMMV.

Sorry, not sure how to post pics. Also, just noticed the one pic I have shows the aimpoint on it.

Good luck

I was using a 3.5x35 Acog with an ARMS throw-lever mount on the DSA base. I realized I could not get a cheek weld because the optic was so high. Then I was like "Duh, look how low profile the FAL sights are! Any scope on this rifle is gonna be non-ideal."

So I put on an Eotech and it was still obviously higher than the iron sights but was close so I can almost  get an ideal cheek weld. I think it is about as good as possible on the FAL with the stock stock.

I have run an EO on mine with no problem but I put a cheek pad on the stock to raise my face.

As for ACOGs, get the dustcover which is machined to accept the ACOG directly in the dustcover.  SWEET!
