OK!
ive been corrected saying it three diffrent ways... so how DO you say it?

do you say it like FALL? or like FAL? like it ryhmes with pal?  do you spell it out? F A L ?

I say it "finn-faal" The "aa" means like a long "a". The same way you pronounce "Cal" in California, just an "f" instead of a "c".

In America, its most commonly spelled out; F, A, L. But the Belgians say it "Fall".

I will say it both "Eff A Ell" and also the "California A" FAL.

i usually spell it out F-A-L but was then "corrected" at a gun shop.  so then i started saying FAL like PAL and was corrected at the range just the other day to FN FALL.

im goin back to spelling it out.

It kinda depends.  If I am intruducing a new person, I spell it.  I do that because when you say "FAL" (as in Cal or pal), its too short and causes people to say, "what?"  When talking to others who are familiar with the gun, I don't spell it and "finn-fal" sounds dorky to me.  Besides, it isn't right.  These are not FN built rifles are they.

Yes, they are FN. However, the FN's are banned by the '89 import ban, so the current ones are "kit-built" from "non-FN" built receivers; DSA, Imbel, ect.
