I say it "finn-faal" The "aa" means like a long "a". The same way you pronounce "Cal" in California, just an "f" instead of a "c".

In America, its most commonly spelled out; F, A, L. But the Belgians say it "Fall".

I will say it both "Eff A Ell" and also the "California A" FAL.

It kinda depends. If I am intruducing a new person, I spell it. I do that because when you say "FAL" (as in Cal or pal), its too short and causes people to say, "what?" When talking to others who are familiar with the gun, I don't spell it and "finn-fal" sounds dorky to me. Besides, it isn't right. These are not FN built rifles are they.

Yes, they are FN. However, the FN's are banned by the '89 import ban, so the current ones are "kit-built" from "non-FN" built receivers; DSA, Imbel, ect.

So... you're saying we should call it a "disafal"?
