Does anyone here have any experience with one of these?
My original plan was to find what a socom was selling for so I could list mine but after looking around I think I want to keep her and maybe turn her into a bullpup.
I will be putting my socom in the rogue.

I love my Socom. I'm definitely satisfied with its handiness. I added a foregrip to the polymer stock and it's so much better. That chassis works well for right handed individuals. I'm unfortunately wrong handed .

The SOCOM is too short to be legal in the Rogue.
You can add the optional 2" butt stock extension, but it adds 14 oz. to an already HEAVY chassis.

Well, hell.
I had plans to do this for my available socom. I do have a bush rifle but I will have to think about it.

H2O_MAN, at the bottom of your write up you say "I would not own one.", IIRC. Do you still stand by that?
I found a rogue chassis for ~$600 shipped, used. This is what appealed to me but used, maybe yes maybe no.

I know I got a vltor stock on my other socom and I'm not over the moon about it.

Thanks for the help folks.

I think I will put my socom in a Fiberglas stock I have and see how she behaves.
Just so I've done something new for her!

Yes, I stand by my statement.

However, if somebody makes one that is as light as the Blackfeather "RS" or close to it, I would consider trying it.

BTW, I sold my Gen II Rogue for a little over $500

May I recommend a light weight SHG imported by http://m14ebr.us/

It will look something like this...

If I recall correctly, H2O_Man had a rogue for a while and claimed to like it. Posted tons of pics, but now as a distributor for the black feather stock system, seems he changed his tune.

I owned the Rogue stock for a while and it was probably my favorite M14 chassis out of all that I tried (Troy, EBR, old E2, JAE). It made a bulky old rifle (M1A) shorter and a lot more manageable. I'd highly recommend it to someone who wants to modernize the M1A platform.
