Anybody had success getting their SoComm II set up and/or having no issues suppressed? My Form 4 has a few months left and was wanting to see if it was worth it to put a can on it? If so what parts worked for you?

Thanks,

I started using a suppressor on my M14 10 years ago.

Blow back is the #1 complaint. It will blow your hair back.
After the video, I tried the USGI M3 Breech Shield as suggested to me by Lee Emerson.
The M3 works so well that I modify scope mounts to fit over it.
NOTE: I do not use an adjustable gas plug, but some guys do.

Complaint #2 is noise. The op-rod gas piston design makes noise.
Tune out everything & listen to the mechanical noise your rifle makes as you pull the op rod all the back...
Release and listen to the op rod capture & drag the bolt clanking down the track toward the loaded magazine at
great speed. Listen as the speed is reduced when the bolt impacts and strips a round chambering the round with authority.
The trigger makes it's own clicking sounds right before the shot is fired.
Bottom line: This metallic symphony is not quiet, it's loud and it's not going away.

Smith Enterprise, Inc. makes special kit for the SOCOM that is suppressor friendly.
My 2011 SOCOM length CQB-16 type SEI is pictured below, it wears Smith muzzle devices
that mate with the .30 caliber Wind Talker suppressor I own. Other makes of muzzle
devices fit SEI's threaded gas lock sight base so you can use suppressors other than SEI's.

Today I am using a light weight Blackfeather "RS" with some optional accessories.

My suppressor is actually one of the original Fisher/SEI
cans that SEI upgraded to their Wind Talker specifications.
