Thinking about glassing my M1A. What are my best options? SAI, USGI stock. Have a breech shield in the clip guide, but can do without if needed.
I see these rails that bolt onto the barrel, are they worth a hoot? I've got a Vortex 2.5-10x44 I'll probably use.  DSC_0521-M1A Can by FredMan, on Flickr

Because of the suppressor I would not recommend anything that will not allow use of the breech shield.
I am using a CASM (EX) that the guys at Accurate Ordnance milled for me so it fit over the breech shield. Also, your chosen optic will not work on a hand guard rail, the eye relief is too short. |
