Yea, this probably is a stupid and petty question, but...

When you load your clips, do you arrange the rounds so that the rounds are or are not under the little opposing corner bubbles on the clips?

I know it really doesn't matter for function, but what is the "official" way they are to be loaded.

Thanks

I buy all my M2 ball preloaded on clips.
When I do looseys, like for setting up for an Appleseed course of fire,
I never looked.
Not sure it matters. Garands just run.

I always load so that the top round is on the right,  or under the "little bubble."  That way when I insert a clip in the rifle my thumb is pushing down on the top round and not the sharp edge of the clip. Might be different for lefties and righties, but it makes it much more comfortable for me.

I really don't like them when they're loaded on the left on top.  Feels weird to me.  I'm not really sure about what bubble you're talking about, but I like them loaded so the top is on the right.

Being right handed and holding the clip in my left hand while loading, the clips just naturally load so that the corner rounds are under the bubble. I guess it would have made more sense if I had said top round on right.

Do all clips not have the little bubble? It must be there to help you grip the clip, but I didn't know if there was an another motive for the bubble being there. All my CMP clips have them.

Top round on the right for me also, not sure why, have just always have done it that way.  Never thought about it until this thread...
