I posted in GD before I realized there was a M1A sub-forum.

Fulton Armory national match build.

SA (commercial) M1A receiver. Receiver serial 055XXX.

Medium weight FA barrel.

NM front and rear sights.

.mil SA parts.

Glass bedded heavy contour FA walnut stock.

Teflon front fitment.

A friend had it built by FA in 1992 on a SA receiver. He said there is less than 100 rounds through it. He said it was a sub-MOA rifle from the bench but never warmed to it due to the rather heavy/thick stock. I've done a lot of deals with him and he's always been 100% honest about what he tells me.

We did some trading and I have about $1100.00 in it. How did I do?

I know exactly jack and shit about FA M1A builds so does anyone know what this rifle is worth today if you had one built?

I looked on FA's site and the only thing remotely comparable NM-wise was one with a stainless steel barrel at about 4K for one of their rifles.

I suspect they have moved-on as to what they make them out of these days. Heck the thing was built 23 years ago so they might not even do builds now for all I know.

I thi you did awesome!   I'm fairly certain that fultn knows a thing or to about building M1A's.   Although I'm not speaking from first hand experience.   My bil is somewhat of a fulton guy and has had good luck so far.  He has a  legacy rifle which is an A1 AR and it seems nice.   He's also had them work on another AR.  They do seem a bit on the pricey side and maybe that's why we don't see too many posts about them.  But I would be excited about owning one and it looks great!
