I see people mention "DBU email" and when their stuff hits the e-store. I'm wondering what exactly they mean by this...
My order was delivered at CMP one week ago today. On Tuesday afternoon I was able to see that my order was in the e-store. Is this considered hitting the e-store or is it when the rifle goes from "open" or "processing"? In other threads people mention their order hitting the e-store a month after sending out their order so something seems weird that mine was there in a couple days. I also never got an email from them so I guess I'm just trying to figure out exactly what I should be expecting. Thanks! |
| A DBU (Don't Bother Us) email is just them confirming that they received your order, yours may have ended up in a junk folder. When people talk about their order hitting the E-store it is simply stating when the order is added to the E-store, depending on what you ordered times can vary for when it moves from "open" to processing. FYI the CMP forum will get you everything you need, much more traffic over there compared to here. |

The process may be a little bit slow this month, as they released for sale on 5-30, and then closed due to so many orders on 6-2, sales of IHC (International Harvester Corporation) M1 Garands.
I got my order in to them on 6-2 |

Your DBU should have told you, in the CMP forums those that were backordered had this in the DBU
"14th IHC thread started, just got my DBU: We have received and verified your recent order. We regret to inform you that we cannot fill your order for the requested IHC rifle at this time. However, your order will be placed on the backorder list to be filled with the next inventory this year. Any other items listed on your order will be shipped if available. " |
Yay! Soon I will be
I may be a lucky one then and get a rifle with this order as my DBU is: "We have received and verified your recent order. There is nothing that we will be able to tell you about the order until we have input all orders received ahead of yours into the system. Your order will now advance to our sales area and from there to our shipping area. Please note, that unless otherwise listed, our order to ship time is at least 30-60 days. You will receive other emails as the order progresses." |

I'm assuming you had them mail the rifle to you, so a bit of delay in pictures of the rifle are ok, but we need some details on condition of what you picked out! |

No, it came home with me, I only live 50 minutes from the North Store. I've just failed to take photographs. I was #18 in the door Thursday morning. Lives up to the service grade status very well. 4.54 million S/N, LMR that measures 1+, 3 on the tag and 0+, 2 on my gauges. Lot of IHC parts (receiver, bolt, sights, op rod, gas cylinder. Trigger group is pretty much all SA, lot of early parts. HRA 3/8 DAS unsanded stock with a few dings and dents. Overall nice gun and not nearly the nicest as far as IHC part compilation. I was looking at low readings and visible IHC parts and missed some good ones not realizing they had been under graded. There were a number with IHC stocks and I saw one that was all IHC except for the OP rod. But alas I already had my gun behind the counter and order in and once that happened there was no going back. |

From the looks of it, people that regular mailed their papers and ordered non-LMR version of the IHC are now in the process of getting their rifles. I think most, if not all of the LMR barreled rifles were allocated for most of the FedEx packages that arrived early.
I snail mailed my order on the 30th, it arrived on Monday, and I got my DBU on the 6th stating I was back ordered for a LMR barreled model. Several people have stated they received their DBU after mine, and their orders are being sent to the shipping department or showing up in the e-store. They appear to have ordered the non-LMR model. |

Well come on, get working on some photos! I'm glad to hear that what you saw were higher end service grades, and they have lots of IHC parts and not just a receiver. Has my hopes up that I will be extremely happy with what I receive! Yeah, won't really know till I get an order number for sure, but I sent mine 2 day USPS, and it was delivered Monday morning before 11 with the FedEx. My DBU on the 10th says nothing about a back order, and I put in for a LMR barreled model as well. |
