Just sent my paperwork off to the CMP for a service grade Garand.
Website says 120-180 days for shipping, realistically what is the shipping time. |

The ~87k unsorted/un-inspected rifles aren't going anywhere that fast. The sky is not falling... yet. This is what I was thinking, as the price effective date is Jan 2012 Was hoping that someone recieved their rifle in the last month that could give me a firm date |

FYI - DBU is Don't Bother US, they send an email letting you know your order was received. The rifle ships a few days after it shows up on your credit card. Takes only a few days once shipped. |

Ordered a HRA Service Grade
Order Received: 8/2/13 Order Acknowledgment: 9/16/13 Email asking if I wanted to switch to a SA Service Grade: 10/4/13 I replied that I would on the same day. Order shipment: 10/9/13 Order Received: 10/10/13 Serial Number 632,XXX puts it about May 1942 production, has a HRA Bolt, 2/55 SA barrel, and a later stamped SA trigger guard, ME 1, TE 2. I'm very happy since I have a late production SA and already had a HRA. |

It took me about 3 months to get my M1 to my doorstep, which is what the website said the expected ship time was around when I ordered. I've read that these rifles just took a couple of weeks to get one before the recent political shit storm. If the website says 4-6 months, expect it within that range. They're shipping hundreds of these things every week, so they probably have a good grasp of the ship times.
Personally I'd say you'll probably get it within five months, but expect six so you're not disappointing. I was in the 60-90 day range, and mine came in roughly 70-80 days if that's anything to go off of. |
