I'm posting this for my brother.
he has an Springfield M1A SOCOM that he just installed a Trijicon ACOG TA11E utilizing an ARMS #18 mount. His cheek pad is a ghetto setup at the moment and has a Bipod attached so he was shooting stable. he took it shooting this weekend to zero it and was having issues getting it set in. He is a US Marine and is familiar with the ACOG's mechanics so that solves one issue, but below are his words: "It's a bit Fucky. Gotta get to a known 100 yard range and zero it. We were less than 100 I think and it kept shooting pretty high even with it adjusted for full low. Yes I was adjusting it the right way. But basically I was just aiming about six inches or so low and destroying some beer cans. It's quite nice" any ideas what would be the issue? He is mentioning looking for a USGI extractor but I dont know what that is going to do for him. |
