What is the accuracy potential for a SA super match using match ammo?  I have seen another forum that the best you can expect is 2 moa from even the best m1a and you need to rebed the action every 1000 rounds or so.  What are you thoughts on this?

This is from a 2009 stock M21, which is a supermatch with a different stock, at 100 yards, prone using a bipod.  6 shot group shot last year in a competition.  Not exact measurement but you get the idea.

It ought to do a minute consistently.  Some are better.

I've repaired the bedding on mine 3 times over 10k rds (well into the second barrel now).  There's some smithwork that has to be done from time to time; recoil does take it's toll over the long haul.

Roughly 1" on mine, another M21.

Two back to back 5 round groups under 3/4" at 100 with irons first time out with my M21.

Best I've done is 1.5moa at 200 using relaods on a SA loadded rebuilt at fulton armory to NM specs. Before the work it was 3 moa rifle. Same barrel and bolt, just about everyother part was changed.

Total bullshit.

The supermatch is a sub moa rifle with a average shooter.  Expect a minimum of 5000 rounds before you see any decrease in accuracy.  The bedding can be damaged by removing the action from the stock.  Most bedded rifle owners only disassemble once a year at the most.  Possibly do a light skin bedding refresh every two or three years.  A lot well depend on the quality of the initial bedding job.

2 moa is doable with iron sights and a GI barrel in a standard model with good ammo.  Use surplus ammo and it's 3-4moa with irons.

I agree with madcrate, this is BS.  I have an 03 SAI Supermatch that has consistently shot less than 3/4".  I have taken it out of the bedding three times without any affect on accuracy.  Most of the match rifles shoot better than their owners.  Go shoot an appleseed or try service rifle and you will have an new appreciation for the sight radius of the M14 pattern rifle.  You will also realize that most people who claim to be great shots really can not shoot with irons.  Learn the irons and you will master the rifle.  Just my .02 cents.

My M21 will easily outshoot me. The only thing I'll say is its accuracy slowly degrades after 150 shots in a row. Clean the barrel and gas piston and accuracy comes back everytime. It is very capable of 1 MOA at 100m. 1996 was the year of manufacture, and I've never re-bedded it.
