I am planning on adding a scope mount to my Springfield Loaded M1A.  I have a Leatherwood scope that I want to mount that has an integrated base to it.  Is there an issue with any of the mounts not fitting the Springfield M1A receiver properly?  I am leaning towards the ARMS 18 or the Bassett.  Any thoughts or recommendations?  I am trying to find a low mount.  Are there any that don't require a cheek riser pad?  No big deal if they do, I am just trying to plan my build accordingly.

In my experience the ARMS 18 mount is good to go, rock solid.

I have no experience with the Bassett mount

I have a ARMS 18 and it works fine.  But, pretty much any scope is gonna require a check riser of some kind, be it a pad or something hardware fixed onto the stock.

My son and I both have the Bassett low mount.  We love them.  Even though it's "low" you'll still need a little stock riser for a good cheek weld.

Before you buy a mount read THIS and THIS

You should do some reading at HERE and see what other long time users are experiencing.

Does the Bassett Low Picatinny require the removal of the clip guide?

Negative. The Bassett is a single point mount.
